Read some of the labels on the cleaners you currently have in your home. Most of them are toxic. If there are warnings on the bottles that product would more than likely be harmful to you. There are products specifically made to be eco friendly.
There is an answer to this dilemma. Check on the world wide web for eco friendly products. Read the web site to see what the products have in them, much like reading the labels. Another idea is to make your own natural, non toxic cleaning products. In fact you might already have the ingredients in your cabinet.
The few natural items you will need are baking soda, vinegar and lemons or essential oils. You can make baking soda into a paste to scrub dirt away. To kill those nasty germ simply use straight vinegar. Mix vinegar with water for a wonderful glass and window cleaner. You may add some essential oil of your choice for the aroma. Essential oils are a natural air freshener as well.
While you are at the library, check and see if you can find natural cleaning recipes. When you make your own natural cleaners, it will give you a sense of really having your home extra clean, without the toxins or strong odors that come with using commercial cleaners.
When you go to grocery store, look as see what the cost of the commercial cleaners are. Then compare that price to a gallon of vinegar and a box of baking soda. The vinegar and baking soda costs about one dollar and fifty cents. The cost for one bottle of all purpose commercial cleaner is about 3 dollars. You just saved yourself one dollar and fifty cents. The moral of the story is you save money and have a non toxic naturally clean home in which to reside.
